Lithograph signed and dated in graphite at bottom. 100/200 Provenance stamp on the back: Atelier Guillaume Corneille A comic strip artist who died too soon in a car accident, Bonvi's print here is close to New Figuration and Pop Art, reminiscent of Erro, Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring for its impertinence. Period frame with scratches, especially on the side edges, but the work is in very good condition. Dimensions with frame : 80 x 59,50 cm Size of work : 62 x 44 cm Interesting composition with the still life in front and a curtain inspired by ethnic designs, reminiscent of the contrasting colours in Matisse's oriental images. Franco Bonvicini, known by his pseudonym Bonvi, was born on 31 March 1941 in Modena, Italy, and died on 10 December 1995 in Bologna. He was an Italian cartoonist who entered the world of contemporary art with a number of prints. In particular, Bonvi is the author of the comics Sturmtruppen (a successful anti-militarist comic), Nick Carter and Milo Marat.
