Beautiful framed Cobra work by Guillaume Corneille signed in the plate, made in homage to Charlie Parker:" April in Paris", 1951. Corneille discovered jazz when he arrived in Paris in 1951 in the cabarets of the capital. With Hugo Claus, he had the idea of working around this music. Authorised print run of 90 copies from the original "April in Paris" silkscreen - Schana B Editions / Guillaume Corneille Official Archives - Stamp on the back of the image - Natural pigments on Belgian hemp paper. Numbered edition. Dry stamp of the editions We sell here the numbered copy AO 45/90 - Off-centering of the image imagined by Corneille suggesting the arrhythmia of Jazz. The painter created a total of 8 works in the series "April in Paris" in 1951. Size with frame : 39 x 46 cm Perfect condition. Cobra exhibition with the largest American collection of Corneille in Miami in spring and summer 2023. The Cobra retrospective in the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen has just ended on 15 January.
