Gunter Lamoot (Ostend, 13 August 1970) is a Flemish stand-up comedian. He was born in Ostend, but later moved to Sint-Amandsberg. On stage, Gunter Lamoot has been in line-ups with multiple comedians for a long time. In 2003, his first full-length show Steak Stront was not launched. In 2005 he won the Humo's Comedy Cup and there was a new, successful full-length performance Uw Beste Vriend. In 2005 and 2006, Lamoot also played the support act for Wim Helsen's performance Bij mij je je zijn Veilig.

In Comedy Casino, he was on stage every week as the character Véronique, dressed in over-raised trousers, a fez and with a mustache. Every week he had changed his name to something totally absurd that he said means "the total idiot who was first called Véronique but has recently changed his name into ..." in some absurd language like "medieval elephant-talk".

In 2007 he released the DVD "7 years of pure genius".

In October 2009 it was announced that he would be part of the nine-member jury in a following season of the television program De Slimste Mens. In 2012, he brought his own humorous television program, Superstaar, on television channel 2BE.

Gunter Lamoot uses a cabaret style that relies heavily on the shocking value of his jokes. They often deal with taboo topics such as feces, sexuality, infanticide or racism. The reactions are often extreme, ranging from intense admiration to great horror. Frequent subject of ridicule is the 'bourgeois' humor of fellow comedian Geert Hoste as well as that of F.C. The Champions. Vlaams Belang politicians often have to suffer too.
