Zoe Blyau (stage name Zoe Bizoe) (Barcelona, October 15, 1988) is a Flemish comedian and burlesque dancer. Her first name is not pronounced as 'Zoe' but as 'kiss' without 'n'.
She started her career in 2012 as a dancer with the Retronettes, a dance group specializing in vintage dance[2], with which she performed at Tomorrowland, among others.
From 2017, Blyau will perform solo. She describes her performances as 'cabaresque': "a mixture of cabaret and burlesque in which dancing, singing and stories are told." In 2018 she provides the support act for stand-up comedian David Galle's hall show 'Erover' with a shortened version of her show.
Over the course of 2018 and 2019, Blyau's most famous burlesque act, 'Bird of Paradise', won 7 titles in international burlesque competitions, including "Best Comic Act" and the overarching "Queen" title at the Taormina Burlesque Festival ( Italy), the "International Crown" at the World Burlesque Games in London (UK), the "Queen of Hearts" (audience favourite) and "Princess" titles at the 'European Queen of Burlesque' pre-selections in Zurich (Switzerland) , "Queen" at the Cabaret & Burlesque Festival in Torino (Italy) and the "Coup de coeur" trophy at the Strasbourg Burlesque Festival (France).
In 2021 she made it to the final of Belgium's Got Talent with an act about the beheading of Marie Antoinette.
Zoe Blyau, together with Leander van het Groenewoud (singer Alex Verdi) and Dries Hoof (Bassist Wallace Vanborn), presents the radio program Radio Rosie on Urgent.fm every month.
