Jan Burssens (Mechelen, June 27, 1925 - Nevele, January 11, 2002) was a Flemish painter. He is considered one of the foremost Flemish existentialist matter painters.
After the Second World War, Jan Burssens was one of the first to react in Flanders against the still prevailing expressionism and to create a kind of abstract dripping art.
