Since the early 1990s, Belgian artist Ann Veronica Janssens has been researching the possibilities of sculpture.
She uses elusive phenomena such as light, color and sound to develop new forms of experience. She attaches more importance to the physical-sensory effect of her sculptures than to their actual form.
The atypical, ephemeral materials that Janssens uses offer maximum possibilities for sensory and optical manipulation. Over the course of her career, the play with space and our gaze became increasingly important and sophisticated.
