An abstract work in oil on paper Kazuo Shiraga , a Japanese modern artist who belongs to the Gutai group belonged to avant-garde artists. He was only internationally recognized and sought after after his death.
Striking for Shiraga is that he saw the entire human body as an instrument and painted mainly with his feet during his peak period (50s-60s).
Shiraga's paintings on canvas are highly sought after on the international market and are rarely offered for auction. In December 2019, a large masterpiece on canvas was auctioned above € 7,000,000 at Sotheby's .
The work is framed and is in excellent to perfect condition.
