Professionally framed in a black wooden frame made of ayous wood with clear acrylic glass. The back is sealed with acid-free tape in the same color as the frame color. With an acid-free insert at the back to protect the artwork against discoloration. External dimensions 36.6 x 51.6 x 1.15 cm (14.4” x 20.3 x 0.45”) (HxWxD). Les Nymphéas comes from a group of works that make up Lichtenstein's 'Water Lilies' series, a tribute to the water lily paintings of Impressionist artist Claude Monet. These innovative works were originally partly made on stainless steel and seem to be reflected like water.
