Please note: this is our only copy available! Artist's copy E/A with Atelier stamp on back. Exhibition to mark 75 years of Cobra from 1 June at the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen. Opening of the Cobra depot in Antwerp. Release of a Cobra / Corneille stamp by Bpost in 2023. Beautiful etching from 1987 by the painter Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), born in Liège of Dutch parents, a founding member of the Cobra movement. Each etching is unique in terms of its colours! In the 1990s, Guillaume Corneille adopted a clear, confident line. The painter tried to capture Modernity through the intensity of his line, in the tradition of Matisse and Picasso. A painter of happiness, here he draws the harmony of nature. Guillaume Corneille is reminiscent of David Hockney in the same sense of selection of detail and the frank gesture of the hand, both erudite painters and art history buffs. Total dimensions: 40 x 51 cm - Uncommon work - Very good condition Signed and dated in graphite by the painter at the bottom Secure shipping with insurance by UPS
