Screen print by Victor Vasarely called 'Broey Neg' from the ION collection. Issued in the year 1989. Edition number 238 of 250. Editor is Falaize Signed by the artist lower right. Work is in good condition and in a solid frame. The frame has a silver-coloured color but due to reflection it looks black. VICTOR VASARELY The works of Victor Vasarely helped define the direction of the Op art movement. Op-Art, various forms that, in combination with various color palettes, produce optical illusions that have given Op-art its name. Vasarely first studied medicine at the University of Budapest before pursuing a career in the visual arts. But a foundation of scientific methodology and objectivity formed the starting point for his work. Vasarely exhibited in many cities during his lifetime and his work belongs to the collections of the major museums in the world, including the Center Pompidou, Museum of Modern Art, and the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt. The ION collection consisted of a series of 7 works published by Editor Falaize.
