UNA DONNA NUDA IN MEDITAZIONE by well-known Italian-Austrian artist Galeazzo Tonini von Mörl - original work - Indian ink on paper - signed in lower right corner - framed - size 34 x 25 cm without frame, 43 x 31.5 x 2.5 with frame. GALEAZZO TONINI VON MÖRL (1922 - 2011) was born in Innsbruck into an old family dating back to the 11th century. He lived in Italy for many years and settled in Monaco later in life. Von Mörl became known in the 60s for his portraits, nudes, still lifes and landscapes for which he used Indian ink, oil paint, tempera and watercolor. Later in his life he moved more towards symbolism, surrealism and impressionism in his works. Von Mörl has had exhibitions of his works throughout Austria, Italy, France and Germany, such as at The Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna and the Hermitage of Fine Art in Monaco.
