MAGICAL FOREST - One of the earlier works of well-known Dutch artist ADA BREEDVELD - oil on stretched linen canvas - hand-signed and dated 1974 in right corner at the bottom - 62 x 82 x 3 cm. ADA BREEDVELD is a well-known Dutch painter. She started her career in the seventies with surrealist works of art. Together with other artists who were also inspired by surrealism and magical realism, she travelled throughout Europe during this period to visit other artists, poets, writers, galleries and museums. She was influenced by artists such as Marcel Duchamp, Paul Klee, Salvador Dali, Félecien Robs and Henri Rousseau. Her most famous works, on which Ada depicts her voluptuous women, come from a later period in her art career. This work MAGIC FOREST comes from her surrealist phase in the 70s. She has had numerous exhibitions, both in the Netherlands and worldwide.
