Original lithograph entitled "Football European Championship" by Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010) painter born in Liège of Dutch parents and founding member of the Cobra group (with Asger Jorn, Karel Appel, Christian Dotremont, Constant, Alechinsky and Jacques Doucet among others), with fine gold gilding applied to the ball. Guillaume Corneille, like other Modern Art painters, represented sport in his art. Like Nicolas de Staël and Robert Delaunay, whom he admired greatly, Guillaume Corneille produced several works on footballers and boxers. 24-carat gold leaf applied to the ball.
