Original drawing by Marcel Marien, signed and professionally framed. Marcel Mariën is one of the most intriguing, productive and representative figures of the Belgian surrealist movement. In 1937 he joins the Brussels group after meeting René Magritte . The same year he creates his first, and most famous surrealistic work of art: L'introuvable, a pair of single-lens glasses. The techniques with which Mariën's talent is expressed are very diverse: object assemblage, collage, photography, cinema, drawing, painting and printing techniques. His artistic production is alive, original and above all challenging. With his works he tries to stimulate consciousness by playing with conventions. Also as a poet and writer he creates bridges like no other between language, images and objects to question our certainties.
