The city is Ria Pacquée's favorite roaming area and the street is her studio.
Curious about life, she senses raw poetry everywhere.
De Warande charts her oeuvre, between punk and deadly irony.
In 1954, Ria Pacquée lives and works in Antwerp.
She has been active as an artist since 1979 and portrays accidental situations and objects from the everyday world.
The street, the market, cemeteries and the desert form her field of work.
Initially her work consists of performances and body art.
In the early eighties she thus developed the type of Madame, whose life she investigates for several years.
She is accompanied by a photographer to record the experiences of Madame.
Ria Pacquée's offset is made in an edition of 75 copies and the work is signed and numbered on the back.
