A very special and rare lithograph on handmade Auvergne, Richard de Bas paper. Includes pressed petals, frond tips and grasses. Each sheet is unique. Printed by Mourlot, Paris 1960. Published for the album 'Mavena' with poetry by his friend Radovan Ivsic. Signed in pencil. No. 11/20 HC. The regular edition was 75 impressions. The publishers, Éditions Surréalistes, were interested in recalling the pre-war period of surrealism. When the random effects of the flowers were shown to Miro in the specially created paper, he discovered that they miraculously re-stimulated the elements of subconscious form creation that had infused his surrealist work from the 1930s. Ref: Mourlot 270 (MA202) Cramer 61 Full sheet 33.5 x 25.5 cm. Beautiful impression with strong colors. In very good condition.
