Terragraphy in very good condition, signed and dated in ink by Corneille in 2004, after a Cobra work from 1950, delivered with a certificate of authenticity. Commercial edition of 120 copies. 36/120 Dimensions : 79 x 56 cm Dimensions with frame: 87 x 65 cm. This technique was developed in Israel. Derived from the screen-printing technique, it is characterised by the use of sand mixed with pigments as the basic element. The sand comes from different deserts, depending on the texture and colour required. The initial stage consists of covering the paper or canvas with a layer of silicone and oil to keep the sand dry. The desired design is then screen printed onto this prepared surface. The result is a series of luminous, colourful works in relief. Guillaume Corneille, born in Liège of Dutch parents, was one of the founding members of the Cobra group (Contraction of Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam) with Karel Appel, Christian Dotremont, Asger Jorn, Constant, and then Alechinsky, among others.
