Franz Courtens was regarded by art critics and contemporaries as the main proponent of the transition from Realism to Impressionism. He was also called the Rubens of landscape painters and is considered the leader of the Dendermond school. The work is signed in the lower left with Franz Courtens, label on the back refers to the numerous museums that have works by him: Antwerp, Munich, Brussels, Budapest, Stuttgart, Liège Namur, Magdebourg, Melbourne ... The frame measures approximately 45 x 38 cm. The work itself measures approximately 23 x 15 cm It is in a very beautiful condition.
