Only one available! A poetic image in which a made-up damsel, accompanied by her tabby cat, looks into a mirror under a starry night. The motif of night and the twinkling stars has been a recurring theme for Corneille since his early abstract period, and is a reference to Van Gogh's starry nights. Large lithograph signed and dated in the artist's hand, measuring 58 x 44 cm, with Atelier Corneille stamp on the back. Artist's proof. Very good condition Identified as an important figure in the renewal of abstraction in Northern Europe, from 1967 Corneille gradually moved towards a rich and colourful Nouvelle Figuration that coordinated with the Pop Art taste of the 1960s and 1970s, and exhibited alongside Andy Warhol, Arman, César and others.
