Chantalle Smeets has been active as a professional artist for 20 years after 4 years of WIK (Artist Income Benefit Act) in the Netherlands. Together with Martiene Stevens (her partner and also artist), they manage Kunsthuis Trobar Riemst (B).

Chantalle Smeets has developed her own style during those years, which is visible in her sculptures of bronze, stone, ceramics and wood. Her source of inspiration is nature. She has exhibited at various galleries in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain
